Marinade Recipes for your Barbeque
Marinades are a
wonderful way to add
flavor and tenderness
to your meat. And there
are a vast number of
them to use, and to
create on your own.
Marinades are truly
something you can
experiment with and
hone to suit your taste.
Below are a couple I
love to use.
Southwest Steak
Marinade
I like to use this one on
skirt steak primarily,
though it is also good
on flank steak and
other cuts you may
want to try.

2/3 cup extra virgin
olive oil
1 TBLSP
Worcestershire sauce
2 cloves minced garlic
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
Wine Marinade
This one has a strong
flavor, especially
depending on the wine
used, but it gives a
good flavor to thick cuts
of steak.

1/2 cup red wine ( I
usually use a decent
merlot)
2 TBLSP extra virgin
olive oil (you can use
less, but I love olive oil
- if you use less, go to
about 2/3 cup of the
wine)
2 cloves minced garlic
1 tsp freshly ground
black pepper
Skirt steak marinating at far right, and below the steak are a couple of
chunks of mesquite - its smoke adds great flavor to this marinated meat !!
